Monday (Labor Day) 5:24 AM SEP 2, 2024 -- Four people were shot and killed Monday morning on a CTA Blue Line train in west suburban Forest Park, and male suspect was later taken into custody on a Pink Line train based on CTA surveillance video. The offender fled the scene; however, CTA security personnel and Forest Park police officers located a suspect after reviewing and monitoring surveillance video images. A suspect was located on a CTA Pink Line train and was taken into custody Monday morning — possibly by about 8:30 a.m. A weapon was also recovered. A police chase was underway for a robbery suspect who was possibly a suspect in an armed robbery at a CVS at an undisclosed location in Chicago. Allegedly a round was fired inside the CVS store, but this was not initially confirmed.
